Endometrial Receptivity Analysis (ERA)
If you plan to seek pregnancy through in vitro fertilization or have struggled to get pregnant with in vitro fertilization, ERA may be able to help.
What is ERA?
ERA is the first test developed to evaluate the patients optimal time, according to their unique genetics, for an embryo to be implanted into the uterus to achieve the goal of becoming pregnant. ERA helps reveal the patient’s personalized window to determine the best time during their cycle that the uterus is most receptive, allowing the embryo to stick and grow. This analysis can be completed before starting assisted fertility treatment, IVF.
For the ERA test, your doctor takes a small sample of the uterus, on a particular day in relation to your cycle, for testing. The sample is then sent to the laboratory, and the genetics are looked at closely to determine if an implanted embryo would be able to stick and grow at that time. The data obtained will help determine the best time for the uteral lining to support a pregnancy.
The ERA test will give an estimation of your personalized window of implantation, according to your unique genetics. Once a window of implantation has been identified, the embryo may successfully be implanted in a future cycle.
Is ERA right for me?
The ERA test has proven highly accurate in detecting the unique genetics of the patient to determine the patients optimal time for implantation.
Any patient who wants to maximize the chances of an IVF pregnancy may benefit from ERA.
